ABOUT US
Future Hope Uganda (FHU) is a Ugandan Community Based Organization registered in Kampala district in Uganda set up in 2009 and officially began its operations in January 2012, (FHU) promotes the empowerment of orphans and children’s talents through sports and education.
FHU was formed by a team of professional field hockey players residents of Uganda in a bid to bring back hope that had been lost by the African child, especially in Uganda and more so in slum areas of Uganda as well as schools and communities.
FHU is located in Naguru, Nakawa Division, Kampala district, Uganda. FHU operates in most of the slum areas Kampala. Nevertheless, we would wish to expand and extend its services to other districts in Uganda and the entire world.
The target groups include children especially orphans and the needy below the age of 18 years, among the orphans we have the HIV/AIDS orphans and other orphans (children affected by wars and disaster, and unsupervised children, and child labourers, child head house hold etc.)
Needy include children of disadvantaged groups like the street grown children. Bring hope to the young generation most especially hope that had been lost by the African child.
Our mission is to improve the lives of children and youths in the most disadvantaged communities by using sports as a tool for development, (most especially Hockey).
